Antequera and El Torcal

New for 2013 The Life of Riley  is now offering walking weeks and short breaks near  the stunning El Torcal Parque Nacional .

El Torcal holds some of the most breathtaking and unusual limestone scenery in the whole of Europe and walks here take you through a landscape of remarkable natural sculptures. Away from El Torcal itself the walking is no less enjoyable. The walks take in some of the best that the area has to offer and include an ascent of Camero Alta, 1378m and routes in the Montes de Malaga Parque Natural. Most of the walks in the area are easy to moderate but still require a reasonable level of fitness.

Whilst here you will be based at Hotel Saydo a Spanish run hotel and residential park which boasts an Olympic size swimming pool amongst its facilities. Close to the small village of Mollina the hotel  lies just 30 minutes inland of Malaga. Nearby is the busy town of Antequera with a stunning Moorish castle and an historic quarter well worth a visit in its own right.

With great walking and the wide range of other natural attractions in the area this is an ideal base for a family walking holiday.
