Sierra de Huetor of Southern Spain

The Sierra De Huetor lies just 15 minutes north of Granada and is often overlooked even by local walkers.The area has a distinctive feel all of its own. Now designated as a parque naural because of its unique Karst landscape of limestone escarpments and a habitat of mediterranean pines forest and scrub the area is carpeted in spring by wildflowers.The steep limestone cliffs offer some of the best scrambling in the area whilst the lower slopes provide easier walking through the native Mediterranean pine forest

Ridge walks along the limestone escarpments of Tajos del Herradero 1,802m.
